June Monthly Luncheon, featuring Jenks High School Internship Program

Description

The Jenks Chamber of Commerce’s June 21 luncheon will feature an opportunity for businesses to connect with Jenks High School interns.

Jenks High School Career Counselor Kimberly Catterson will give an overview of the Professional Studies Internship Program and share successful outcomes.

The Professional Studies Internship Program is designed to assist students in career focus areas and to gain valuable work skills. Internships aid in successful transitions to after-high-school plans and provide students opportunities to explore a career of interest during the school day, leading to more informed post-graduation decisions. 

Interns devote a minimum of three hours a week toward their unpaid internships and the program is free of charge to participating community partners.

During the noon event, sponsored by Gateway First Bank, attendees will have an opportunity to apply for a 2023-24 community partnership.

Cost to attend is $25 for members and $35 for non-members.

Registration is available through Monday, June 19 by 5 p.m.
