The Jenks Chamber of Commerce will host its first Small Business Academy event of the year on Thursday, March 2, focused on knowing yourself, your team and your company.

The noon event, presented by Andy B’s, will feature Kevin Burr of Barracuda Staffing and Consulting.

Burr is the owner of Barracuda Staffing and Consulting, and a partner in Red River Payroll, Which Wich and The Golden Sombrero.

He has built companies on the principles of building relationships on every level. His main objective, whether it is with his clients, applicants or staff, is to put people in the right position to succeed.

He prides himself on being able to come up with custom hiring and recruiting solutions for every client. His goal is to have everyone experience and notice the “Barracuda Difference.”

The company under his direction continues to grow year over year, and has twice been recognized by making the Inc. 5000 list in 2017 and 2019.

Small Business Academy is the Chamber's small business-specific program. Designed to strengthen businesses and connect them with resources and inspire, the classroom-setting events include stories from successful entrepreneurs and educational programs.

The program is sponsored by Andy B’s, Barracuda Staffing and Consulting, Victory Remodeling and Tedford Insurance.

Small Business Academy begins at noon, located at Tulsa Tech's Riverside Campus, room A114 (The Fish Bowl).

Cost to attend is $20 for members and $30 for non-members.

The registration deadline is Tuesday, Feb. 28 by 5 p.m.
